Luca

This is our standard bridge saw designed for a small to medium workshop. It functions as a main machine for the primary cutting of stone slabs to manufacture kitchen bench tops, vanities, wall cladding and floor tilings.

The Luca comprises of one main beam, which travels on two rails for the long travel (in and out movement). The machine is equipped with a precision measuring system which enables electronic measurement of the work to be carried out. The work pendant has all necessary controls to work the machine manually. The PLC screens allows the machine to function in a semi automatic or fully automatic mode.

The precisely machined bridge carries the cutting head and blade and has a variable control for cutting speed adjustments.

The movement of the main head is motorized and equipped with an electronic speed controller which enables the machine to cut at various speeds depending on material hardness.

There is an electric up-down movement for quick and easy adjustments and positioning of the blade’s height, both these features have limit switches at the end of travel which enable simple stroke length setting.

The table tilts from 0-86degrees (for easy loading of the slab). It is powered by a set of heavy duty hydraulic pistons operated from the pendant.

This table locks at four (4) positions pnuematically and has a separate ‘any position’ soft lock function.

A laser for easy position of the initial cut now comes as a standard inclusion with the Luca.

The blade can be manually tilted through to 45degrees to enable mitre cutting.
